Objectives
We can motivate why we included this course unit in the study program:
"Internationalization" belongs to the regular courses in the curriculum . Internationalisation at home ( I @ H ) focuses on internationalization activities without outgoing mobility . I @ H wants to realize the internationalization objectives by utilizing the existing international context at home . This course enables the student to be aware of his own learning by choosing the activity (ies) ad being the manager of his own study study program.
Through this course the student can for example prepare for the internship abroad, follow language courses, follow a summer course, accompany an incoming Erasmus student, join an English within the course unit 'Coaching and interdisciplinary work', follow a course on the topic Instrumental phonetics using Talk software, follow the advanced course 'Autism', ...
Contents
The course unit compromises the following parts:
Participation in an approved summer course or course (in a partner institution) abroad
Following a recognized language course in preparation for an international mobility for placements
International module on pediatric rehabilitation
Interdisciplinary work: participation in English group
Health promotion: participation in English group
Best practice exchange groups and case histories SLT: participation in English group
Instrumental phonetics using Praat Software
Voice Disorders
Autism - Research and Treatment

Final objectives
1. Participate actively, and as part of a team, in an interdisciplinary context to achieve common (care) objectives
2. Develop a view about the job profile and its evolution in an international context.
3. Constantly update their own knowledge of speech therapy/audiological disorders, in various domains of the discipline, along with their assessment and treatment
4. With due respect for diversity, develop a constructive working professional relationship with care recipients, colleagues and other professionals
