Objectives

The student knows the basic possibilities of a lay-out programme, so the student – in an efficient and competent manner – is able to create, edit and print a publication. The student works in a structured, accurate and problem-solving manner. Inquisitiveness and a critical attitude are necessary. The final objectives below may be used by the graduate to create publications him/herself, such as folders, leaflets, posters and flyers and deliver them ready to be printed.

Final objectives

1. Knows and has insight into graphic design and is able to apply this.

2. Knows and has insight into a lay-out programme and is able to apply this

Indicators:

  • Knows the basic possibilities of a lay-out programme and is able to apply these.
  • Knows the concept raster, is able to create, change and use raster pages.
  • Is able to place text and efficiently edit it
  • Is able to place illustrations and edit them
  • Is able to draw objects and edit them
  • Is able to use colours in a simple manner.

3. Functions fully autonomously and with a broad sense of initiative when using a lay-out programme.

  • Is able to efficiently use the lay-out programme
  • Is aware of quality, is creative and notices details when creating a publication
  • Plans and completes the tasks in a structured manner – with the necessary self-critical attitude – within the given time
  • Spontaneously and efficiently looks for a solution for problems (help function, syllabus).
  • Knows the basic concepts relating to the editing of text and images in a publication.
