Objectives

• Linking practical language skills to a business-oriented, up to date and varied knowledge.
• Deepening and developing receptive and productive skills.
• acquiring the management assistant.

Contents

• Further deepening of the grammatical skills.
• Expansion of the general and business vocabulary.
• Study of current business texts.
• Further attention goes also to specific tasks of the Management Assistant, eg organizing business trips  and reporting.

Final objectives

Core competence 1: understands announcements and simple argumentations about topics from his socio-economic and professional environment. (Listening and reading: B1) (DSL6, AC2, AC4)

Indicators:

  • completely understands oral texts concerning socio-economic and work related topics when they are formulated clearly and in standard language. (I)
  • completely understands texts with expressions frequently used in a socio-economic or work related context.

Core competence 2: communicates orally and written in more complex, professional related contexts. (spoken production, writing: B1) (DSL6, AC2, AC4, AC1)

Indicators:

  • elaborates simple, cohesive texts about familiar topics that are business-oriented, such as minutes, presentations and summaries. (A&S)
  • orally presents professional messages in a simple but correct language. (A&S)

Core competence 3: masters most linguistic competences that are required to have a simple work-oriented conversation in English. (spoken interaction: B1) (DSL6, AC2, AC4, AC1)

Indicators:

  • takes part in a conversation with topics concerning professional life or that have his personal interest, he does this with preparation. (A&S)
  • gives his critical opinion about the presentations of peers in non-complex terms. (E)
