Objectives
The student knows the most important steps of a project methodology.
The student is able to detect and model the different types of business processes within a customer's specific question.
The student is able to indicate and use the different process flows in ERP software.
The student knows the main risks in an implementation of ERP and the role of business and IT related with managing ERP.
Contents
Understanding of project methodology:
• Create and execute full project plan
• Focus on risk analysis
• Cost/Benefit analysis
• quality measurement
Knowledge of elements of IT governance:
• Advize Make or Buy decision to the customer.
• Using BPM in order to define the requested business processes of a customer.
Knowledge of Business Software (advanced ERP,CRM, MES, EDI):
- Best practices with the implementation of ERP software
- Customisation, interfacing and add-ons
- Collaboration of business and IT during an ERP projec
- Risks during ERP implementation
- Change management in an ERP environment
- Understanding CRM, MES, EDI
- Implementing the most important business processes in ERP

Final objectives
Partial Competence 1: Able to manage a project.

- Alignment of company goals with the project (business case).
- Operational and financial project planning
- Mitigate project issues, limit and reduce project associated risks.
- Closure of projects.
Partial Competence 2: Capability to execute elementary management activities and tasks (AC5):
Indicators:
- Ability to lead and manage a project team oo small IT department
- Understanding of IT governance
Partial Competence 3: Know and understand general purpose and logistic business processes of an organization.
Indicator:
- Knowledge of exiting Business Software solutions and be able apply this knowledge to develop the necessary processes in the organization.
