Objectives

Gaining insight in some principles of basic grammar through a systematic integration of elementary language and sentence structures and learning the general vocabulary.

Contents

learning the essential basic vocabulary and basic grammar through theory and exercises. (verbs, cases, articles, nouns, adjectives, prepositions, pronouns, numerals, adverbs, conjunctions, simple sentence structure)

Final objectives

Core competence 1: understands familar words and basic sentences in German.

Indicators:

- recognizes familiar words and easy sentences when people speak German slowly and clearly.

- understands familiar words and very simple sentences in German.

Core competence 2: communicates in a simple, non-complicated situation.

Indicators:

- uses the acquired vocabulary and grammar in order to bring a short oral message in German.

- uses the acquired vocabulary and grammar in order to bring a short written message in German.

Core competence 3: interacts easily

Indicators:

- asks questions concerning familiar subjects in German.

- participates in a conversation about familiar subjects in German when the interlocutor talks slowly and helps phrasing words.
