Objectives

The part ERP aims at giving the stiudents insight into how an ERP package (Enterprise Resource Planning) may lead to a fully integrated management (logistics, commercially, financially, …) of an organisation. The students get an answer to the question how they can organise continuous management and improvement of the different company processes.

Prerequisites

Being able to use the current possibilities of the management systems as efficient as possible and having basic keyboard skills.

Final objectives

1. The student knows and has insight into general and logistics company processes and into the document flow of an organisation

Indicators:

  • The student has insight into general and logistics company processes (purchase processes, sales processes, stock management, warahouse management, financial management, …)
  • The student is able to visualise processes
  • The student has insight into the document flow of an organisation

2. The student has knowledge of and insight into general and logistics company processes and is able to manage these company processes efficiently by means of an integrated software package

Indicators:

  • The student has insight into the construction and structure of ERP software
  • The student has insight into the mutual relationships between the different modules
  • The student has insight into the influence of data and information input on the whole process
  • The student has insight into data processing and adaption of data
  • The student is able to integrate company processes in ERP software
  • The student has knowledge of and insight into specific software in the field of logistics and the possibilities of these programmes
  • The student is able to execute a given number of assignments within a limited time frame.

Organisation of education

Through learning sessions, guided and individual exercises with the computer you get to know the ERP software. You prepare exercises and assignments independently; the lecturer will coach you and guide you where needed when independently completing assignments.
