Objectives
In this course students learn to deal with processes in a company. Students learn to apply process modelling techniques and to optimize business processes, and reporting. De competences that are gained in this course are crucial competences for the courses 'SCM', 'Business Software', 'Strategy and Quality Management', 'Business project: optimization', 'Stage and BP'.

Final objectives
1. Has knowledge and insight on he basic terms, principles and techniques related to BPM and Process Modelling.
Indicators:
- Has knowledge and understanding of the different terms and principles in BPM (process, input, output, procedure vs project, …)
- Has understanding of the basic principles and techniques related modeling of business processes
- Has elementary understanding of analyzing and optimizing processes and how to implement process changes.
- Can translate the logic of business rules into a decision table
2. Being able of modeling a simple proces
Indicators:
- Is able to collect the needed information to model a business proces
- Is able to document a business process
- Is able to draw up a BPMN flow
- Has understanding of how certain BPMN tools and symbols can help at modeling business processes.
- Can model both a paper based sales process as a digitally optimized sales process
3. Has the skills to execute a task in a detailed way

4. Has knowledge of performance management and reporting

- Can define KPI's and link those to business processes
