Final objectives

Partial competence 1: To be able to analyze the computer network of a large enterprise, to understand the functionality of it and to suggest improvements.(TI08)

Indicators:

    1.1. Troubleshooting OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VTP for IPv4 and IPv6 

    1.2. Implementing Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and Domain Name System (DNS) for IPv4 and IPv6 networks

    1.3. Knowing Spanning tree concepts

    1.4. Analyzing and configuring WLAN’s 

    1.5. Analyzing and implementing advanced routing protocols

Study guidance

The lectures are restricted to the minimum so that the students can exercise the competencies to be achieved using laboratory assignments that can be carried out in their own pace. They can count on individual guidance and feedback as they encounter difficulties.

Evaluation

  • First exam session:
    • non-period bound evaluation: 30% 
    • period bound evaluation: 70% written examination
  • Second exam session:
    • 100% written examination
This course unit is marked out of 20 (rounded to an integer).
Re-sit exam: is possible.
