The student takes a multidisciplinary approach to surveying assignments (considering the legal, technical and administrative aspects) and independently formulates well-founded advice (with a possible specialization in Geo-IT, building & infrastructure and specific fields of expertise related to surveying). |
Objectives
This course is considered as the capstone of the trilogy Surveying methods, Land surveying in practice, and Data Processing. The student will work in an international and interdisciplinary context on the acquisition, processing, and publishing of data, covering a (series of) hertitage object(s).
Contents
- The student creates 3D models, point clouds and other deliverables of features with a certain cultural-historical value
- The student processes 3D data using commercial and open-source software
- The student publishes 3D models and is able to share them via online platforms
- The student collects and combines spatial data for a specific application in a practical context
This content of this course will be implemented based on an international campaign, where students will acquire data on site. Based on a series of (guest) lectures, these data will be acquired and processed in a relevant context, based on a specific application.
