After completing this chapter, the student should be able to:

  • Design financial models to match strategic and short-term operational decisions

  • Explain the importance of managing support service costs and how to allocate support service department costs using different methods
  • Explain the importance of cost variance analysis and apply it
  • Explain the purpose and role of transfer pricing and base a transfer price on different techniques
