Objectives

  • Use the productive and receptive language skills purposefully in function of professional presentations in French at the CEFR B1 level.
  • Use the productive and receptive language skills purposefully in function of professional presentations in English at the CEFR B1 level.
  • Apply the basic principles of (corporate) communication in French.
  • Apply the basic principles of (corporate) communication in English.
  • Use software for presentations autonomously, with a feeling for initiative and creativity.
  • As an ambassador of the company, present a product or service in French.
  • As an ambassador of the company, present a product or service in English.
  • Create a professional, informative presentation on the mision, vision and the strategic policy of the company/organisation, based on the specific input of the manager.
  • Answer questions on the mission, vision and strategy autonomously as the first representative of the manager.
  • Have insight in the specific characteristics of diverse cultures, ethnic groups and nationalities.
  • As a commercial communicator, pay attention to the specific needs of diverse cultures, ethnic groups and nationalities and react correctly to these needs.
  • Recognise the international character of a professional situation and the opportunities and threats in international contacts, contracts, regulation and strategies.
  • Describe the relation between the organisational culture on the one hand and the international environment, cultures and habits on the other.

  • In function of professional presentations:
    • Language skills: reading, listening, speaking, writing, interaction in a business and professional context
    • With attention for: grammar, vocabulary, style, spelling
    • Grammar: l' article, le pronom relatif, la mise en relief, les prépositions, les démonstratifs et possessifs, expression de la dimension, adjectifs de couleur
  • In function of professional presentations:
    • Language skills: reading, listening, speaking, writing, interaction in a business and professional context
    • With attention for: gramamr, vocabulary, style, spelling
    • Extra attention goes to: emphasis, structure, describing graphs, comparison
  • Basic principles of communication: language register, presentation techniques, fear of speaking
    • Principles of professional business presentations, ambassador, corporate culture
    • Vocabulary through self-study
    • Expressions relatives à la présentation orale
    • Vocabulaire: l'entreprise, les abréviations, les effectifs (organigramme, reponsabilités), visite guidée, produit, service, secteur d'acitivité, import-export, culture, notoriété
  • Basic principles of communication: language register, presentation techniques, fear of speaking
    • Principles of professional business presentations, ambassador, corporate culture
  • Software for presentations: for example powerpoint, prezi, including mulitmedia (integrating moving images, stills and sound in presenations)
    • Build up the presentations content-wise
    • Use the software efficiently and autonomously, with a feeling for initiative and creativity, while presenting.

As an ambassador of the company or organization, and a connector in the company or organization, communicate in a service-oriented and professional manner in an intercultural, international and multidisciplinary context in Dutch, French and English with internal and external stakeholders with various profiles. (Dutch: CEFR level C2 / English: receptive skills CEFR level C1, productive skills level B2 / French: receptive skills CEFR level C1, productive skills level B2)
Based on the strategic policy and the principles of quality management, design and optimize operational HR processes and administrative processes
In an intercultural, international and multidisciplinary context, network and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders with various profiles, with an optimal alignment between one's own talents and those of others
